Tina Marie Garcia

Mrs. Tina Marie Garcia, 53, of Third Street, Elberton, Georgia passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, Georgia following a sudden illness.

Tina was born in Los Angeles, California on December 16, 1970, daughter of Marie Loraine Marquez and William Garcia. A strong woman, Tina faced many challenges in life, most recently with her health. She was a fighter, and worked through physical therapy, learning to walk and do simple day-to-day task again. Her strong faith in God carried her through each day. Tina was an avid gardener, and enjoyed doing arts and crafts, with a special love for drawing. Above all, her family was her greatest blessing and she loved them dearly.

Surviving, in addition to her mother Lorraine, are her husband, Gustavo Gomez Garcia of Texas; children: Joshua Garcia of Elberton, Georgia Lucy Garcia of Elberton, Georgia and Laura Garcia of Fontana, CA; and siblings: Terrisa of New York, Denise of New York, and Isaac of California. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren who were the lights of their Nana’s life.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family, and Tina’s cremated remains will be returned to California, just as she requested.
