T.O. Scott

Mr. T. O. Scott, age 76, of Canton, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the Arbor Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Gerral Richards and Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Sosebee Funeral Home. Mr. Scott served in the U.S. Navy and was retired from Bell South. He was a member of Arbor Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed golfing and gardening. T.O. was a avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and loved collecting rocks. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas O. Scott, Sr. and Gracie Dunn Scott; sisters, Lizzie Mae Drake and Josephine Saxon and brother, Robert L. Scott; survivors include his wife of 42 years, Jena Scott of Canton; children, Larry Scott of Athens, GA, Rickey Scott of Wesley Chapel, FL, Marisa Wilson of Commerce, GA, Tommy Dale Scott of Athens, GA, Todd Scott of Commerce, GA and Cheryl Norwood of Smyrna, GA; siblings, Alice Adams of Rutledge, GA, Alvin Scott of Elberton, GA and Danny Scott of Fripp Island, SC; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
