Tom Edward Kidd

Mr. Tom Edward Kidd, 84, of JW Kelley Road, Dewy Rose, husband of 45 years to Martha June Dickerson Kidd, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Comer Health and Rehabilitation Center. 

Mr. Kidd was born in Elberton on August 11, 1939, son of the late Colbert Jackson “Jack” Kidd, Sr. and Ruby Brown Kidd. He was retired from Martin Fireproofing where he worked as a supervisor for many years, and was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church. An avid outdoorsman, Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in his vegetable garden. 

Surviving, in addition to his wife Martha, are his children and their spouses: Kathy and Mike Milford of Hartwell, Dianne Holbrook of Lavonia, Stacey and Robert Price of Lavonia, Henry Ridgeway of Greenwood, SC, Matthew Ridgeway and Sandy of Dewy Rose, Lisa and James Robinson of Greenwood, SC, and Mark Outz of Dewy Rose; eighteen grandchildren; twenty five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Roy Ridgeway; siblings: Harold Kidd, Mauline Kellum, Jack Kidd, Jr., Rabun Kidd, Jerry Kidd, and Barbara Walters; and one grandchild.

Memorial services celebrating Tom's life will be conducted on Sunday, June 30, at 3:00p.m. at Bowman Baptist Church.
