Mr. Tony Hover, 62, of Elberton, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021.A native of Lima, Ohio, he was the son of the late Irvin E. Hover and Dorothy Anderson Hover.In addition to his father, Tony was preceded in death by his brother, Sandy Hover. Tony was a faithful husband, father, son, brother and friend to all and never had an unkind word spoken of him in the community.He was devoted to his family, his faith and the community.He was a gentle giant with a servant’s heart.The handiest of handymen, Tony was always willing to do for others but really enjoyed teaching his children and others how to do the job for themselves.He had been installing flooring for forty years and was co-owner of Hover Flooring with his wife, Robin for thirty-six years.The longevity of their business is contributed to, among other things, the quality of his work.Tony loved riding his motorcycle and riding horses.He loved all animals but especially his dog, Wally. Survivors include his wife of thirty-seven years, Robin Rucker Hover; daughters, Lauren Hover and LeeAnn Hover; Mother, Dorothy Hover; Sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy & Bryan Dixon and Debbie & Sammy Sanders; brother and sisters-in-law, Stacy & Julie Hover and Kim Hover; several nieces & nephews and other extended family. A Graveside Service was held on Friday, September 17th at 11:00 a.m. in Elmhurst Cemetery with Rev. Ann Mann, Rev. Richard Jarvis and Rev. Kenny Martin officiating.
