Tony King

C. Tony King, 76, of Elberton, passed away suddenly Friday, January 6, 2012. Mr. King was born in Elbert County, January 27, 1935, to the late William Rufus and Littie Bond King. He was a retired supervisor from Elberton Mills, a U.S. Navy Veteran, a member of Elberton First United Methodist Church, a member of Elberton Philomathea Masonic Lodge #25, and attended Fortsonia Baptist Church. Survivors include his children and their spouses, Cathy and T.J. Garnett, Scott and Tammie King, Kent and Cindy King, and Jeff King; mother of his children, Frances Adams King; all of Elberton; five grandchildren, Anna and Bryan Kuschel, Megan King, Kasey King, Ross King, and Spenser Garnett; and two great-grandchildren, Hayden Daniel and Ellie Daniel. The last surviving member of his immediate family, he is preceded in death by siblings, Phyllis Smith and Floyd King. Graveside memorial services will be held at 1:30PM Sunday, January 8, in Elmhurst Cemetery with the Rev. Al Butler officiating. The family is at 103 Seaboard Street, Elberton, and will receive friends at the cemetery following the service. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.berryfh.com.
