Tracey Edwards Turner

Tracey Edwards Turner, age 65, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022 following complications of COVID-19.

Tracey was born in Elberton where she lived all of her life.  She had a true heart of gold and used her calling as an LPN to serve many of the older residents of the community throughout her 25 year career in nursing.  Tracey had a larger than life personality and will be remembered for her spunk and her ability to talk to anyone.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gene “Doodlebug” Edwards; and her longtime companion, Marshall Calhoun.

She is survived by her loving children, Chelsea Smith (Justin) and Jacob Turner; her mother, Barbara Edwards; and her siblings, Robin Edwards (Talmadge Bowman), Lance Edwards, and Jennifer Hall (Greg).  She was loved and adored as GiGi by her grandchildren, Trenton Brown, Trevor Brown, Paisley Smith, and Harper Smith who is due in December.

A celebration of Tracey’s life will take place at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, November 12, 2022 in the chapel of Hicks Funeral Home. Interment will be private.

A time to greet the family will be held an hour prior the service

Arrangements for Mrs. Tracey Edwards Turner are in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
