Mr. Travis Brown, 60, of Winns Mill Road, Bowman, husband of Regina Scott Brown, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2014, at his home. Mr. Brown was born in Elbert County on March 31, 1954, to Marien Smith Brown and the late Noah Donald Brown. He was of the Baptist faith and worked as a painter in the construction industry. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Regina Scott Brown of the home; children: Lance Brown of Elberton, Derrick Brown of Comer, Kurt Brown of Elberton, and Denise Faulkner of Colbert; sister, Nancy Lunsford and her husband Barry of Elberton; seven grandchildren: Seth Brown, Braelyn Brown, Miranda Brown, Morgan Faulkner, Courtney Faulkner, Caleb Brown, and McKinley Brown; great-granddaughter, Skylar Faith Brown; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brothers: Larry Brown and Curtis Brown. Funeral services celebrating his life his life will be held on Sunday, August 17, at 4:00p.m. in the Vineyards Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Purvis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the residence of his mother, Marien Brown, 1207 Old Hartwell Road, Elberton, and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00p.m. on Saturday evening.
