Turk Threlkeld

Mr. Michael Eugene "Turk" Threlkeld, 62, of Hartwell Hwy., Elberton passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at his home.

Turk was born March 24, 1955 in Elberton, GA to Olin Eugene Threlkeld and Rebecca Maxwell Threlkeld. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He served as a Paramedic in Region 10 EMS with Elbert County EMS, St. Mary's EMS, Elbert Memorial Hospital ER and was a former Deputy Coroner for Elbert County. Turk was a avid UGA Bulldog fan and fisherman.

Survivors include his mother: Rebecca Maxwell Threlkeld of Elberton, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law: Janet and Billy Adams of Bowman, GA; Jennifer and Mark Kimbel of Colbert, GA and Judy and Brent Craft of Anderson, SC; brothers and sister-in-law Monty and Donna Threlkeld of Melbourne, FL; Chris Threlkeld of Elberton, GA; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held 2PM, Tuesday, July 11 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Vaughn officiating. The Threlkeld family will receive friends from 1-2PM just before the service at Berry Funeral Home. Private interment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery.

The family is at the home of his brother Chris Threlkeld at 517 Fambrough Dr. Elberton, GA.
