Vera "Margie" VealRodgers, 64, peacefully said goodbye on March 30th in Anderson, South Carolina. She was born on July 7, 1951, and raised a southern girl in Elberton, Georgia, by her parents, Bobby C. Veal and Bobby Jo Terry, as well as Diane Veal, along with her siblings, Janice Meyer de Stadelhofen, Allan C. Veal , Bob Thurmond, Rena Smith, and Julie Dye. Margie was a devoted mother to her daughters Brandon Barnwell and Elizabeth Andersen, along with their husbands Brian Barnwell and Niels Andersen. She was a loving grandmother to Avery and Ashton Andersen. She was voted friendliest in Elbert County High School class of 1969. The bright smile on her face made her excel in every aspect of her life. She touched the hearts of everyone she came in contact with, and the memories she left us will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Hospice House of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC29621 in memory of Vera Margie Rodgers. Family and friends gathered at Hicks Funeral Home Chapel, 231 Heard Street, Elberton, Georgia, 30635, on Saturday at April 23 at 1:00 p.m. for amemorial service.
