Mrs. Violet Nancy Dotson Parham, 95, of Dewy Rose, wife of the late Carl Parham, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Nancy Hart Nursing Center.
Mrs. Parham was born in Ellijay on August 23, 1924, daughter of the late William James Dotson and Dessie Mae Pankey Dotson. She was a member of Believers Baptist Church and a former member of Deep Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Violet retired from Elberton Foods.
Survivors include her son, Carl Shamuel Parham and his wife Nan of Dewy Rose; sister, Lucille Thomas of Griffin; sisters-in-law: Jane Dotson, Sara Dotson, Martha Sue Dotson, and Gloria Clark; grandchildren: Candace Worley, Samantha and Evan Pulliam, Blake and Anna Parham, Sandy and Joey Pless, Brad and Sharon Edwards, and Billy Edwards; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Jerry Edwards; an infant daughter; siblings: Waymon Dotson, Glenn Dotson, Ozell and Lawrence Moss, Hazel Dotson, Cecil Dotson, Bob Dotson, David and Dorothy Dotson, and Raymond Dotson; and brother-in-law, Joe Thomas.
Graveside services celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, May 31, at 2 o’clock in the Deep Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Revs. Wade Dotson and Tim Adams officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
