Mrs. Vivian S. Lunceford, 88, of Elberton, Georgia passed away Monday, December 10, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Lunceford was born November 1, 1924, in Tignall, Georgia to the late Rozelle Smith.Vivian was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. Mrs. Lunceford is survived by two daughters and son-in-laws: Gail and Gary Phillips, and Betty Jo and Jim Boyd, all of Elberton. She also leaves behind her precious grandchildren: Sean Ward, Lindsay (Ramses) Frangie, Brooke (Landon) Johnson, Brittney (Ryan) Eddy, Brandon Boyd, and Bridget Boyd; and great-grandchildren: Grady Ward, Landree Eddy, and Layton Johnson. Vivian was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Henry G. Lunceford, and a son, Henry “Butch” Lunceford. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the sanctuary of The First Baptist Church, Elberton, with the Reverends Gary Purvis and Raymond Scott officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 12, 2012, from 6:00to 8:00 p.m. at Hicks Funeral Home. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
