Walter Arthur Hall, Jr.

Mr. Walter Arthur Hall, Jr., 65, of Hartwell Hwy. Elberton, GA passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Piedmont Athens Hospital.

Mr. Hall was born October 2, 1955 in Elberton, GA to Walter Arthur Hall, Sr. and Berthene Shead Booth. Walter’s greatest desire was to be a Marine. He joined the United States Marine Corps in the early 1970’s. As time passed, he was in a terrible car accident. This accident resulted in him being medically discharged from the Marine Corp. This was a disappointment he carried with him for the rest of his life. Walter loved being a Marine and serving his country.

Walter was preceded in death by his father: Walter Arthur Hall, Sr.; his mother: Berthene Shead Booth; stepfather: Jack Booth and brother: Roy William “Billy” Hall.

He is survived by sisters: Diane Motes of Winder and Patricia Hall of Elberton; several nieces, one nephew and special friends of the Elberton VFW.

Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held 11AM, Saturday, September 11 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Moon officiating. The family will receive friends from 10AM to 11AM just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home.

Flowers are optional and memorials can be made in his memory to the Elberton VFW Post 5456, 1004 Calhoun Falls Hwy. Elberton, GA 30635.
