Walter Emory Mabry, Sr.

Mr. Walter Emory Mabry, Sr., 70, of Jane Hill Rd., Tignall, GA husband of Gail Miller Mabry passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Mabry was born September 1, 1947 in Toccoa, GA to Otho Mabry, Sr. and Mae Elise Adams Mabry. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Toccoa, was self employed and was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran of the 554th Engineers Company E (Float Bridge).

He is survived by his wife: Gail Miller Mabry; children: LaWanda Dalton, Rebecca Mabry Bowen (Ben Bowen), Emory Mabry (Marsha Mabry); sisters: Joyce Bleckley, Sarah Pannell; brother: Curtis Mabry; grandchildren: Jacob Dalton, Betsy Dalton, Addie Bowen, Brooklyn Bowen, Chandler Bowen, Bryson Mabry, Alora Mabry, Colton Mabry, Ella Mabry; step-grandchildren: Cameron Carpenter, Chloe Carpenter, Carli Carpenter.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters: Kathryn Durden, Patricia Elise Bowers, Mary Ann Dover; and a brother: Otho Mabry, Jr.

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held 2PM, Monday, September 18 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Marty Kilby and Ken Kilby officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-9PM Sunday night at Berry Funeral Home.
