Mr. Jimmy Wayne House, 68, of Elberton, Georgia passed away Monday, February 8, 2016 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, South Carolina. Wayne was born in Hartwell, Georgia to the late Stewart Lamar and Mary Conwell House.He was the husband of Alice Bannister House, having celebrated over 49 years of marriage together.Wayne worked as a stone cutter in the granite industry, and was also a funeral associate with Hicks Funeral Home.He was of the Baptist faith.Wayne will always be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, and “Paw-Paw.” In addition to his wife, Alice, Mr. House is survived by a son, Chad House and future daughter-in-law, Chrissy Brooks; a daughter-in-law, Ashley House; a grandson, Kason House; and future step-grandchildren, Karson and Tyler Blackmon, all of Elberton.He also leaves behind a brother, Roger House, of Dewy Rose. Mr. House was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Wayne House, and a brother, Stewart House. A service to celebrate Mr. House’s life was held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home, with Rev. Richard Fife and Rev. John Todd officiating.A time of visitation was at 11:30 a.m. just prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment followed at Elmhurst Cemetery.Serving as pallbearers were Roy Lee Pless, Terry Pless, Ren Wilhite, Chuck Moore, Steven Brown, and Sandy Thornton. Memorials may be made to the Rainey Hospice House at 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621. Arrangements for Mr. Wayne House were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
