Mr. Wayne Smith, 57, of Carlton, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at Optim Medical Center in Millen, Georgia He was born in Athens, Georgia on August 4, 1956 to the late Horace Gene and Valrie Pitt Smith. He is survived by a daughter and her husband Jessica and Thomas Gorman and two grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother and his wife, Sheriff Mike and Gail Smith. Memorial services celebrating Wayne’s life were held Friday, December 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home.
