Wesley Thomas Moon, Sr.

Wesley Thomas Moon Sr., 36, of Conyers, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 1, 2013. Wesley was born in Athens on December 22, 1976, the son of Rev. Thomas and Mrs. Mary Brown Moon. He was married to Debbie on October 21, 2006. Wesley graduated from Rockdale County High School in 1995. Wesley spent the majority of his working career at Reliance Heating and Air. He was an active member of First Baptist Church, where he was very involved in their outreach and children’s ministries. Wesley was also a volunteer at Hightower Trail Elementary and with the Rockdale High School Marching Band. He is survived by his wife, Debbie; sons, Wesley Jr., Bailey, and Bryon; parents, the Rev. Thomas and Mary Moon of Lincolnton; brother, Kevin Moon and his wife Gincy of Covington; sister, Michelle Learn and her husband Rob of Suwanee; foster brother, Wes Durden of Lincolnton; sister-in-law, Crystal Bennett and her husband Danny of Covington; grandparents, Benny and Ruth Brown of Elberton; in-laws, Robin and Phillip Ramsey of Atlanta and Cathy Grizzle of Covington; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Martha Moon, Jannie Sue Brown, Philip Sr. and Nadine Moon, all of Elberton. Wesley’s loving and generous spirit continues to touch lives. It was his desire to donate his body to medical education and research. Through this gift, Wesley will continue to improve and save countless lives. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Conyers.
