Mr. Wilbur “Will” Elsworth Schuler Sr., 67 years old of 805 Jenkins St., Blackshear, Ga.
husband of 27 years to Sarah Hufstetler Schuler was Crowned in Glory Oct.9, 2017.
Mr. Schuler was born in Kansas City, Kansas on April 8,1950, Son of Frank William and
Mildred Smith Schuler. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He taught diesel automotives in Saudi Arabia despite the language barrier. He was Service Manager for Evans Truck repair in Athens, Ring Power in Ocala, Fl., and D&M/Yancy Caterpillar in Blackshear, Ga.
Will was an accomplished musician and Faithfully followed his Music Ministry for His Lord, never once accepting payment from any church or nursing home. He excelled with Banjo, Dobro, Guitar, Mandolin and his much loved Big Bass. For the FoxFire play in Madison, Ga. , he fashioned his Bass stand to pat one foot to the beat. He chose my son's red canvas baby shoes with rubber toe, and through the years he had to change to others from their 1970's supply quickly reaching the age of almost 50 years old.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife and their children and spouses: Jean Schuler &
Tony Alewine; Marsha Bradford Wilbanks; Bonnie & Scott Robinson; Gene & Kim Bradford; Shannon & Kelly Bradford, & Cindy Smith and Robert Paden, brother: Joseph Schuler; sisters: Nancy & Wayne Kennedy; & Goldie Schuler. Our much loved 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and dear friends.
In addition to his Parents, Will is preceded in death by his Son: Wilbur Elsworth Schuler Jr., brother: Frank Schuler & sisters; Agnes Schuler, Frances Schuler Harris & infant Sister.
Funeral services celebrating Will's life will be held 11AM on Oct.14, 2017, Saturday in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Ray of Waycross officiating. The family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home beginning at 10:00 AM on Saturday prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Washington Highway, Elberton.
