William "Bill" Herbert Dotson, Jr.

Mr. William Herbert "Bill" Dotson, Jr., 68, of E. Church Street, Elberton, husband of 33 years to Beth Dove Dotson, finished his course in faith on Monday, November 24, 2014, at his residence. Mr. Dotson was born in Elbert County on May 10, 1946, to the late William H. Dotson, Sr. and Helena McGuire Dotson. He was retired from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and was a member of First Baptist Church of Elberton. Bill served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Beth, of the home; children and their spouses: Felicity and Randy Holland of Elberton, Billy and Gloria Dotson of Beulahville, NC, David Dotson of Elberton, Jason and Suzanne Brown of Raleigh, NC, and Brent and Autumn Dotson of Royston; sister, Patricia Fields of Jacksonville, FL; niece, Jennifer Fields of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren: Brad and Jamie Holland, Reid and Carley Holland, Sara Holland, Drew Dotson, Ciarra Dotson, Connor Dotson, Zach Brown, Lucy Brown, Kaitlin Dotson, Blake Dotson, and Dustin Welborn; special sister-in-law, Arlene Dove Whitlow of Elberton; and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, November 29, at 4:00p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Mize officiating. The family is at the residence and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 2:00p.m. until time for the service on Saturday.
