William Frank Knapp, Jr., 77, of 1763 Balchin Road, Elberton, husband of Rhonda Evans Knapp, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013, at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Mr. Knapp was born in Cortland, New York, April 10, 1935, to the late William Frank Knapp, Sr. and Pauline Craig Knapp. He was a retired electrician and a member of Flatwoods Pentecostal Church. He was student of the year in 2010 of Karate Ka, received the Tough Man Award in 2011, Black Belt in American Style Karate, and Green Belt in Iesu-Reddo Ryu Association and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Rhonda Evans Knapp of the home; sons, Ronald and Brenda Knapp of Abbeville, SC, Rodney Knapp of Fayetteville, NC, and Jason Knapp; daughter and son-in-law Sherry and John Bennett of Painted Post, NY; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Memorial services celebrating his life will be held Monday, February 25, at 2PM at The Assembly Church of Hartwell 1128 Liberty Hill Rd., with the Rev. Roland Molina officiating. Mr. Knapp's wishes were to be cremated. Berry Funeral Home & Crematory, Elberton, is respectfully in charge of arrangements for William Frank Knapp, Jr.
