William Maxwell "Max" Glenn

William “Max” Glenn, 66, of Athens, GA passed peacefully surrounded by his wife and daughters on October 21, 2023 after a brief illness. The son of the late Radford Glenn and surviving Mary Saxon Glenn of Elberton, GA, Max is survived by his wife of 37 years, Wendy Campbell Glenn, his two daughters Ashley and Logan Glenn, beloved dog Boo, brother Bruce Glenn and his family, and his aunt Sally Hozey and her daughters Anne and Allison and their families.

Born in Athens, GA, Max spent his early life in Elberton. He graduated from Elbert County High School and went on to study Political Science at Georgia Southern University. He spent the majority of his career in retail drug store management and later shifted to a position at the Home Depot in Commerce, where he worked for the last 8 years. In his free time, he was a devoted caregiver for his mother and enjoyed spending time at home with his family and pets. He was a car aficionado, a skilled handyman, and the household mechanic. Each summer, Max looked forward to his yearly vacations with Wendy, his girls and all of their dogs to the beaches of South Georgia.

The passing of Max is a heartbreaking, sudden, and unexpected loss for his family. He and his wife were looking forward to spending their upcoming retirements at the lake.
