William Troy "Bill" Griggs

Mr. William Troy “Bill” Griggs, 75, of North Eades Rd. Carlton, GA passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Nancy Hart Nursing Home.

Mr. Griggs was born September 22, 1948 in Elberton, GA to Clyde Clifford Griggs and Anna Laura White Griggs. He was a member of Comer Baptist Church, an U.S. Navy Veteran and was a retired long haul truck driver.

He is survived by his adopted children: Brian Smith and Ashley Sherare both of CA; and sister and brother-in-law: Vickie and Sam King of Carlton, GA.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Maryann West Smith Griggs.

Funeral services to celebrate Bill’s life will be held 2PM, Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Comer Baptist Church with Rev. Rudy Camp officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6PM to 8PM Monday night at Berry Funeral Home.

The family requests memorial be made in his honor to Comer Baptist Church.
