William "Pete" Taylor

Mr. William C. “Pete” Taylor, 86, of the Rock Branch Community in Elberton, Georgia passed away, Monday, July 20, 2015. Mr. Taylor was born in Elberton to the late Aurelius Cullen and Pearl Conwell Taylor.He was the husband of Caroline Bundrick Taylor, having celebrated over 56 years of marriage together.Mr. Taylor was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served in the Seabees division.He returned home to pursue a career in auto mechanics and repair.Mr. Taylor was a member of the New Bethel United Methodist Church.He was also a member of The Masons and had just recently received his 50-year service pin. In addition to his wife, Caroline, Mr. Taylor is survived by a sister, Johnnie Sue Deen of Blackshear, and several nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Mr. Taylor’s life was held on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home.Visitation began at 1:00 p.m. just prior to the service.Interment followed at Forest Hills Memorial Park with Military Honors and Masonic Rites.
