Willie Eugene Hagood

Mr. Willie Eugene Hagood, 56, of Elberton, Georgia passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011, at 4:52 a.m.at St. Mary’s Hospice House in Bogart, Ga. Eugene was born May 10, 1954 to the late Lillian Jackson and Martha Leona Hagood. He was the plant operations manager at Bubba Foods of Elberton for eleven years.He was also a member of the Elberton Moose Lodge #1099 where he served as Governor and Lt. Governor for a number of years. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mrs. Wanda Owen Hagood, a son and his wife: Denver and Amber Hagood and a daughter:Heather Hagood.He was the brother to James L. McNair and his wife Renee McNair and son-in-law to Mr. & Mrs. John Owen.Eugene leaves behind a granddaughter: Memphis Hagood and a grandson: Branson Hagood. A service to celebrate Eugene’s life will be held Monday, May 9, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Elberton.Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday evening, May 8, 2011 at Hicks Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m.Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Abbeville, SC.
