Wilma Sue Morrow Wallace

Mrs. Wilma ‘Sue’ Morrow Wallace, 89, of Country Club Road, Elberton, wife of 59 years to the late Ezra Perry Wallace, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Magnolia Estates. 

Mrs. Wallace was born in Calhoun Falls, SC on October 12, 1933, daughter of the late Theoplous Decatur Morrow and Ruth Shiflet Morrow. She worked as a paraprofessional having retired from Beaverdam Elementary School. Mrs. Wallace was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church and loved animals and flowers. 

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Jim Welch of Elberton; and siblings: Gene Morrow of Abbeville, SC and Delma Jones of Elberton. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her faithful canine companion, Murphy; and siblings: Leona Davis, Annie Scott, and James Morrow. 

Graveside services celebrating Sue’s life will be held on Thursday, September 14, at 11:00a.m. at Forest Hills Memorial Park with the Rev. Douglas Huff officiating.  

The family is at the home of Michele and Jim Welch, Golf Course Road in Elberton, and will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
