Winford Clyde Mincey

Winford Clyde Mincey, 53, of 1953 Lincolnton Hwy., Elberton husband of Gina Lamedica Mincey died Friday August 27, 2010. Born in Elbert County he was a son of the late Harry Mincey and Inez Terrell Mincey. He was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church, a U.S. Navy veteran, and was a retired self employed carpenter. Survivors include his wife of the home Gina Lamedica Mincey, daughter and son-in-law Tiffany and Jason Edwards of Dewy Rose, GA, a step-daughter Shelly Eaves, step-sons Bobby Duck, Mike Duck, and Tom Duck all of Elberton, GA, a sister Shirley McClure of Elberton, GA, two grandchildren, and six step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother Herbert Mincey. Funeral services will be held Sunday August 29, at 3PM at Deep Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at the home of his daughter and son-in-law Tiffany and Jason Edwards 2537 Floyd Rd. Dewy Rose where they will receive friends from 6-8PM Saturday night. Pallbearers will include Ronnie Gaines, Jeff Floyd, Scott Floyd, Zack Floyd, Alex Duck, and Frankie Kidd. The family has requested in lieu of flowers please make memorials in his honor to Penfield Fund at Deep Creek Baptist Church.
